Bottomless Brunch In Paddington: Why Ayllu's Samba Brunch Stands Out

Bottomless brunch in London is everywhere. Unlimited prosecco, a fixed menu, 90 minutes, next table please. Most of them are interchangeable.

Ayllu is not.

Every Saturday and Sunday at Paddington Central, Ayllu runs a 90-minute Samba Bottomless Brunch - unlimited Nikkei Japanese-Peruvian sharing plates, free-flowing drinks, and three live Samba performances during the session. The food comes from the same kitchen as the evening tasting menus. The entertainment is live, not a playlist. And the cuisine - Nikkei - is something you won't find at any other bottomless brunch in west London.

What's Included In Ayllu's Bottomless Brunch

Two packages, both running for 90 minutes:

£37pp - Bottomless Food Only Unlimited Nikkei sharing plates for the full sitting: ceviches, sushi uramaki rolls, appetisers, mains and dessert. All dishes are designed to share and keep coming throughout the session.

£55pp - Bottomless Food & Drinks Everything above, plus free-flowing drinks for the full 90 minutes. Choose from house white wine, house red wine, prosecco or the cocktail of the week at the start of your sitting - that's your choice for the session. Soft drinks available as a substitute at the same price.

The whole table must choose the same package. Last booking is at 3:45pm. The bottomless food and drinks start from your booked reservation time - the clock doesn't pause for late arrivals.

The Samba Show: What Makes It Different

Live Performances, Not Background Music

Three times every Saturday and Sunday brunch, Ayllu's Samba dancers take the floor. Each performance runs for 15 minutes. The DJ plays throughout the full session - the Samba show is a addition to, not a replacement for, the music.

Performance times every Saturday and Sunday:

  • 1:30pm - 15 minutes

  • 2:30pm - 15 minutes

  • 3:30pm - 15 minutes

The Food: Nikkei Sharing Plates

This is the part most bottomless brunches get wrong - the food is an afterthought. At Ayllu, the brunch menu is built around the same Nikkei principles as the evening service. Head Sushi Chef Sandesh Baral's uramaki rolls are on the brunch menu. Head Chef Igor Pereira's sharing plates run from ceviches to grilled mains.

Expect: ceviches dressed with leche de tigre, sushi uramaki rolls, skewers, mains and dessert - all unlimited, all sharing format. The menu rotates seasonally but the format stays the same: Nikkei from start to finish.

For anyone new to Nikkei cuisine, the brunch is the most accessible way in - a relaxed, social format where the dishes keep arriving and you can try a bit of everything.
